Title : Inspiration
Every artist internally acknowledges certain particular things he/she struggles with , or at the very least , wants to improve upon . Over time, there are also certain things that every artist owns .... tucks into their tool bag and pulls out to make them happy.
For me, as a colourist , and one who knows that every day and every painting brings new adventure in colour, one little thing that always makes me happy is to add a colour discord to my canvas ..... [ look it up if you care to know ].... but in this colour study that colour or group of colours hovers around the Quin magenta tree placed in the foreground.... it just makes me happy and inspires me to paint on....
Then there are the colour studies I am doing here that simply take me out on a proverbial limb and that I continue to play with until the limb breaks ..... so inspired by the fun and humour in so many artist's palettes and artwork here in SMeA..... here is a colour study in the abstract viewed from each plane......
