hummingbird alley - san miguel , line, acrylics , colour study on paper
So , I have been working on lines, pen, and acrylic colour studies on paper. Completely out of the ordinary from my usual art practice except perhaps the colour mixing studies I keep in my art book. That is an ongoing habit . And, since, I did not bring my acrylics with me, I am experimenting with a limited colour palette - Golden acrylics. And I can tell you I am so enjoying it . But, let me tell you a little story about my day yesterday.... just to give you an idea of the small challenges I am facing - please maintain your sense of humour.
I was in the shower yesterday morning when I realized I was out of my hair conditioner...... the last artist left a few bottles in the shower so I tried to see if any one of the bottles was conditioner. Keep in mind I don't wear my reading glasses in the shower, and the words on the bottles were in Spanish .....
I found the conditioner and loaded it onto my dry , uncontrollable hair... conditioner is essential to my hair survival..... it had an interesting texture and I rubbed it profusely into my scalp.....
It seemed a little difficult to rinse out ...
Long story short - I managed to massage a great deal of Vaseline body cream onto my hair .... [ it conditions the body , not the scalp.... a minor technical error in interpretation from Spanish to English] and I am still trying to wash it all out... okay.... I've added a few new Spanish words to my vocabulary . And PS - the cream is excellent for dry skin. [ Just saying]......
Now here are some art things ... and pictures
